Boston

On one of the days off that Joseph had, we went for a field trip down to Boston and took two tours of ships: "Old Ironsides", the first Navy battleship and a destroyer from WWII. This is a picture of Joseph manually cranking the big guns on the Destroyer. It looked like tough work!
The entire time through our private tour, I thought of my grandpa who served on a similar vessel in the Pacific Ocean during the war. I have a whole new appreciation for what those men and women did for our nation. Thank you Veterans.
The other ship we went on was one of the first ships that was in the US Navy, "The Constitution." It dates back to the days of George Washington. That was another incredible thing to see, but bitter cold. The wind off the bay was bone-chilling.
To finish the day off, we got lost trying to find the Boston Temple. Lost in the middle of non-Brigham Young style of square and numbered streets for several hours. We even went through the "Big Dig" of underground interstate in Boston. Finally, we found our destination. And we weren't too late to do a session. It was a perfect close to the day. The Boston Temple is one of the prettiest places I have ever been, besides the Teton Mountains.

Oh! How fun! I'm glad you finally found the temple and were able to still have time to go. Is that the closest temple to you?

Kemper! What a fun trip to Boston! I love Boston! I was there SEVERAL years ago and would love to go back. There's so much history there! Also, you look darling with your little bump! Your day will be here before you know it! Remind me of the date? Your house is darling, your baby "stuff" looks so fun and it looks like you are doing great!

Hey Kemper, how are you? I found your blog and am way excited that you're in NH because my brother is on his mission there! He actually just got to NH last Monday, so he is brand new. Right now he is in Somersworth, which is a little southeast of Rochester I think. I don't know if he'll ever be in your area, but keep an eye out for Elder Jaco!

Hi Kemper! This is Tiffeny Campbell from high school. It's been a long time! I found your blog through Jamie's and I was so excited to find it. I would love to keep in touch. I have a blog too, but I keep it private because I worry about people seeing pictures of my daughter. You never know! If you send your email address to me, I'll invite you. (tiffersoup@gmail.com) If you want! :) It's good to hear you're doing so well!

Hey Kemper! This is Britt Shepherd! I teach your sister's aerobics class and she told me that you are pregnant! Congrats! We are moving to new Jersey for the Summer. I don't know how close Newark is to where you guys are, but if it's not too far, we should get together!
