To my Mia Maid class: You rock my world!
I love my calling! I get to hang out with the beautiful young women of our ward twice a week where I learn so much from them. They really are anchored in the gospel. My class presented me with a present yesterday about their favorite things and what not and I learned so much more about them on a deeper level. Watch out world, because here they come!
Also, yesterday at church, Avannie was being a bit fussy so Joseph took her during the Sacrament part which allowed me to sit alone and think about my Savior. I turned to the hymn book to help guide my thoughts and decided to read the Christmas carols. As I read them, I was so grateful for my Savior and his humble birth. The King of Kings was born with only a cow/donkey standing there! He really does know how to succor to us because He has been there. I at least had an army hospital staff to welcome me into the world. Back to the hymns... As I read "Away in a Manger", a line stuck out to me that really helped me: "Be near me Lord Jesus, I ask thee to stay. Close by me forever, and love me I pray." There are times that I mess up, and Sacrament Meeting was one of those as I tried to be patient with a toddler and teach her reverence. I realized that I needed the Savior near me more often to help me be more like him.
I love knowing that Jesus Christ lives and loves me. He is my older brother and wants to help me whenever I recognize Him there.
