Growing up, my dad's favorite book to read to us was Dr. Suess's "To Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street." And for Father's day this year, I gave a copy (large print) to him. He read it that night to my girls. What is not in the picture is the other side of the room, where all of my sisters and mom are sitting listening - just like old times.
Telestrations - a new family favorite game! Oh it is so funny! This is one of the classic pictures drawn that night. Can you guess it? Its a HOLE-y Cow drawn by my mom. Get it? You can see through the cow to the tree and flower. oh mom.... :)
I taught Steve how to tie a certain knot at a wedding-setup in order to hang all the Chinese lanterns. He turned to me as asked, "When will I ever use this knot again?" So I told him several examples and demonstrated how he could use it with a tying a sleeping bag together. (pretend my leg is the sleeping bag). I thought I was making perfect sense - but as I see this picture my sister took, I look like a crazy person. good times!
