I have to tell you about the greatest part of Brazil: our dear friends, Mirka and Vinicius. When ever we are in a pickle (like having no water), they come to our rescue and wash our clothes and offer their shower. If we are lost in this new city, they direct us to where we need to be. When we are half starved because I can't cook like a Brazilian, they invite us over for cooking lessons. In one night, Mirka showed me how to make 5 different things, then sent all the food home with us! It was the best week we have had when it comes to eating well.
Mirka and Vinicius are the most talented musicians we have ever heard. She is a concert pianist and he is studying opera. But they are a heck of a lot more than great musicians. They are the best two people when it comes to selfless love and service. Both Joseph and I (on several different occasions) have gotten teary-eyed because we love and appreciate these two so much.
We have spent many Noites Familia (FHE's) at their home, as well as gone on field trips with them. We have a lot of fun whenever we are with them. And an added bonus is that they both speak English! Although, Vinicius helps me alot with Portuguese, for example: cup is cupo, plastic is plastico, trash is NOT trasho but lisho. :)
When I found out that we were coming to Brazil, I prayed regualary for a friend to be prepared for me when I would come to this new country. I was so nervous. And Heavenly Father answered my prayers immediately! After two days of being here, we were blessed with great friends! We thank Heaven regularly for them. I hope that everyone in the world has a friend like Mirka and Vinicius.

Yes So you think you can dance is so good. I miss watching it with you and all the other wives. We still watch it here but its just not the same. I really miss last summer. I will try and post some video of the show so you can watch them.Ü

I just want to tell you and joseph that your friendship means a lot to me and Vinicius. We are SO happy to have you here and to learn so many things with you as well.
